50 nights of great cinema in Piazza Maggiore.

Sotto le stelle del cinema, the rich programme of films proposed by Cineteca di Bologna within Bè bolognaestate, is going to open on June 21st.

Every night at 10pm - until August 15th, free admission - the big screen in Piazza Maggiore will be showing the best-restored and classical films as well as the most interesting recent productions.

  Among the main retrospectives of this edition, mention should be made of the one dedicated to Orson Welles, on the year of the 100th anniversary of his birth. From mid-July, Sotto le Stelle del Cinema will be proposing some of Welles’s masterpieces such as Citizen Kane, F for Fake, Macbeth, Othello, The Magnificent Ambersons, Le procès, Mr. Arkadin and Touch of Evil.
