Giovanni da Modena. A painter in a shadow of San Petronio
Civic Medieval Museum – San Petronio's Basilica
The exhibition, organised in collaboration with the San Petronio's Basilica, is dedicated to one of the most significant figures of the late Gothic painting in Italy – Giovanni di Pietro Falloppi, known as Giovanni da Modena. It is the first exhibition dedicated to this artist, who painted the famous Bolognini Chapel inside of San Petronio's Basilica (about 1411-1412) that should be seen to complete the exhibition circuit. The exhibition it self includes various masterpieces of the painter from different museums and private collections.
